South Florida sun, salt, and regular use call for a clear maintenance plan. SOS provides boat and yacht detailing in Fort Lauderdale, with service extending through South Florida from West Palm Beach to the Florida Keys. We work with skiffs, center consoles, motor yachts, and crewed vessels, agreeing the work and approvals before it begins.
A routine washdown and a corrective detail solve different problems. We start with the vessel’s condition, finish, access, and your priorities so the proposed work is clear.
Washdowns & routine detailing
Exterior washdowns and presentation care, with glass, stainless steel, metalwork, and interior cleaning included where specified. Choose a one-time visit, pre-arrival preparation, or an agreed recurring schedule.
Polishing, compounding & wax
Condition-based paint and gelcoat care, oxidation correction where appropriate, polishing, and protective waxing. The surface assessment determines which preparation steps belong in the quote.
Marine ceramic coating
Surface preparation, correction where required, ceramic coating, and an aftercare plan. We discuss the coating system, suitable surfaces, care requirements, and scope before work starts.
Teak deck care & restoration
Cleaning, refinishing, repair assessment, and seam or caulking work as appropriate. Sanding and restoration depend on deck condition and remaining material; teak work is scoped separately from painted and coated surfaces.

What does detailing cost?
Standard washdowns start at $5 per foot per visit, with a $250 minimum. Eligible managed-vessel washdowns are $4.50 per foot. Polishing, wax, ceramic coating, interior work, and teak restoration are quoted to the vessel and condition.
Vessel length, beam, finish condition, materials, access, travel, and required preparation affect the final scope. A washdown rate is not a full corrective-detail or coating price.

Questions owners and captains ask
Can I book detailing without yacht management?
Yes. SOS accepts individual service requests as well as recurring care and yacht management arrangements.
Do you work with smaller boats?
Yes. Owners of skiffs and center consoles can request the same clearly defined service and communication as larger yacht owners. Tell us what needs attention and we will discuss an appropriate scope.
Should I choose wax or ceramic coating?
The right scope depends on surface condition, preparation, how the vessel is used, and how it will be maintained. Read our wax and ceramic coating guide for questions to ask before booking.
Can work take place at my marina?
Share your marina or dock location so we can confirm access, permissions, and site requirements before scheduling. Yard work and haul-out services are arranged separately where needed.
Do you provide other marine services?
Yes. Explore bottom painting, maintenance coordination, marine carpentry, and yard-period services. Tampa Bay and Fort Myers projects are considered by arrangement.
